I'm going to be running the Leicester Half Marathon for the Woodcraft Folk, a youth organisation which helps to empower young people through non- formal education.

The Woodcraft Folk is also involved in many international projects including a media project on climate change and, the project I am involved in, VAP-Volunteering Against Poverty.

 As part of VAP, 16 young people from all over the world will volunteer in other countries and work to produce a documentary on child poverty. I will be going to Colombia for 12 months as part of the project, working mainly in a community library project in a poor area of Bogota. I would love to be able to take resources such as tools for our allotment project, games and books to share.

The money raised could go towards Woodcraft Folk projects within the UK, such as the Stanley Activity Den:(http://theactivityden.blogspot.com/2011/03/activity-den.html) as well as supporting one of the many international projects they are involved in.
