HELLO! :)
My name is Lucía López Carasa and I am a first-year Politics and International Relations undergraduate at the University of Bath. I am also part of the Women's basketball first team and in my free time, I do ballet.
I need your help!!
I am raising money to fund a volunteering trip with Travelteer to be part of the Sports Development Programme in Sri Lanka. I am planning to head to Sri Lanka in early June and stay there for two weeks. Whilst there, I will be trying to develop the sports ability of school children. Moreover, I will also help to rehabilitate the local environment and to teach English.
At present, children in Sri Lanka do not enjoy free time because when they are not in school, many of them must work to help their families. That's why I need your help! All the money raised will go to improve the infrastructures to do sport, buy new sports equipment as well as fund my two weeks stay there. This will facilitate the development of children's potential and help them to enjoy their lives more, playing and having fun, as every child should.Your donation will help improve the lives of children there and I feel honoured to play even the smallest part in that!
Therefore, I would immensely appreciate your contribution, big or small, to help me get there!!!

Me llamo Lucía López Carasa y soy una estudiante de Política y Relaciones Internacionales en la Universidad de Bath (Inglaterra). Soy parte del primer equipo femenino de baloncesto de la Universidad y también hago ballet.
Necesito vuestra ayuda!!
Este verano me voy a Sri Lanka durante dos semanas para formar parte del progama "Sports Development" llevado a cabo por la ONG Travelteer. Se trata de un programa que tiene como objetivo el desarrollo de los deportes como parte del curriculum academico de los niños en ese país. En la actualidad, los niños en Sri Lanka no disfrutan de tiempo libre ya que cuando no estan en el colegio, mucho de ellos deben de trabajar para ayudar a sus familias.
Es por ello que necesito vuestra ayuda!! Todo el dinero recaudado irá destinado a mejorar las infraestructuras para hacer deporte, comprar nuevos materiales deportivos y financiar mi estancia durante las dos semanas. Esto facilitara el desarrollo del potencial de los niños y les ayudará a que disfruten más de sus vidas, jugando y divirtiendose, como todo niño debería hacer.
Por todo ello agradecería de corazón que me ayudaraís a conseguir estos objetivos. Cualquier aportación por muy pequeña que sea es más que bienvenida!!
