Story
Street Child United is a charity that I am incredibly passionate about, and that I am extremely proud to work for. Ahead of the world’s biggest sporting competitions, we organise international sports events for street children, to change the way young people like them are seen and treated across the globe. We are now working towards the Street Child World Cup in Qatar in 2022 and the Street Child Cricket World Cup in India in 2023.
Throughout the Autumn/Winter 2019/20, I will be undertaking 5 fundraising challenges:
1) 1st September to 30th November - I am giving up all alcohol. Yep, really.
2) 28th October to 10th November - I'll be Living Below The Line (£1 on food and drink per day) for two weeks.
3) 15th November - I'll be abseiling down the St Giles Hotel, London.
4) 29th November - I'm sleeping out at Northants Cricket Club.
5) 27th January to 31st January - Every day, I'll be running the 10 miles home from work.
Though i'm quite excited about abseiling down a hotel (once a Scout, always a Scout....), and I'm pretty sure that my body will be quite grateful for the break from alcohol (I'm getting old now....), I'm pushing myself to the limit with these challenges and will therefore be very grateful for all support..
Please get in touch if you'd like more information about Street Child United, or would like to join me at any of our fundraising events.
