Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 26th June I am attempting to complete the Nice Ironman - if I haven't bored you with the details already - To complete the course you have to Swim 3.8km; Cycle 180km and then run 42k (a marathon).

I have 16 hours to finish otherwise you are pulled off the course.

I was initially taking on the challenge for myself - but so many people have asked if they can sponsor me - I feel that it is a good opportunity to support a charity that Gail & I are actively involved with already.

The Langalanga Scholarship Fund is a charity which offers secondary scholarships to bright but needy children in Kenya. These children come from particularly disadvantaged homes and would, without support, be denied a secondary education.

For more information please see http://www.langalanga.org.uk

It costs £500 a year to provide schooling for each child - If I can raise £2500 then this will enable another child to be educated to their full potential.

There is no guarantee that I'm going to complete the Ironman - its a very tough challenge - but I hope that you can sponsor me for trying - it's been pretty tough just getting to the start line.

Thanks a million

Lucas
