Story

Hello and Welcome!

Thankyou so much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page!

Some may think I am bonkers (they are probably right too!) but I am running the Bristol Half Marathon (13.1 miles!!) on Sunday 5th September 2010 and am hoping to raise as much money as possible for a very worthy charity which is very close to my heart.

Many of my friends and family will know that I am not a 'runner' but I have trained hard for my first ever marathon and am determinded to do my very best as it means alot to me.

On this day I will be running in memory of Dave who passed away on the 6th September 2009 aged 21 from Hodgkins Lymphoma.  I promised Dave and myself that I would do something to raise money and awareness for these types of cancer.

Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is a charity specific to beating blood cancers and their work is so valuable. With your kind donations, you will be able to help others who face the day to day struggles of living with these diseases, and help towards funding new research.

Any amount you are able sponsor me will be greatly appreciated, and will be a massive incentive on the day to keep me going when I want to stop!!

Many Thanks, Lorna xxx
