My Dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer in June 2013.  His condition deteriorated in March 2014 and he spent his final 3 weeks at Severn Hospice in Shrewsbury.  The care provided by every member of staff and volunteer was absolutely amazing and we, as a family, will never be able to thank them enough.  With my brother and sister, I will be running the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon in September 2014 to try and raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity, to enable them to help more patients and families in Shropshire and Mid Wales.

Cafodd fy Nhad ddiagnosis o ganser y coluddyn ym mis Mehefin 2013.  Dirywiodd ei gyflwr ym mis Mawrth 2013 a threuliodd ei 3 wythnos olaf yn Hosbis Hafren yn Amwythig.  Roedd y gofal a ddarparwyd gan bob un aelod o staff a gwirfoddolwr yn hollol anhygoel ac ni fyddwn ni, fel teulu, byth yn gallu diolch digon iddynt.  Gyda fy mrawd a'm chwaer, byddaf yn rhedeg Hanner Marathon Llyn Llanwddyn ym mis Medi 2014 i geisio codi cymaint o arian â phosibl ar gyfer yr elusen ffantastig hon, i alluogi iddynt helpu mwy o gleifion a theuluoedd yn Sir Amwythig a Chanolbarth Cymru.
