Story
The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust works on Kenya's front line to protect threatened wildlife and habitats. Hand raising orphan baby elephants who have lost their mothers, with years of care, these babies are gradually reintegrated back into the wild, with many going on to have babies of their own! These orphaned elephants often lose their mothers due to ivory poaching, habitat loss and resulting human-elephant conflicts. I've adopted an orphan elephant, Kiombo for my birthday this year and I really hope the people around me could also start being more aware of what could be done to help the orphaned and endangering wildlife. The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust also operates Anti-Poaching and Mobile Veterinary Units, as well as Aerial Surveillance Teams, to keep wild animals of all kinds safe. Every wild life counts: Please sponsor me and help me make a difference!
