Story

Hi all,

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

On Sunday 13 September I'll be running my first ever half marathon, in aid of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation - the UK's only lung cancer charity. Having lost my Dad to the disease in my early 20's it's a cause that's very close to my heart.

Lung cancer remains the UK's biggest cancer killer, which is why the foundation's research work, as well as their support for sufferers and their families, is so important.

I'll be running the half as part of the foundation's virtual retro run series. And what better decade than the one that bought you Only Fools and Horses, the London Marathon and yours truly. Yep, the 80's!

But it wouldn't be a retro run without a matching playlist! You can help me create mine by sharing your favourite 80's classics. Add a song to the comments when donating.

Whatever amount you can give will help someone living with lung cancer. And you'll also be supporting me with a virtual cheer as I run, walk (and limp) 13.1 miles to the best (and worst?!) songs of the 80's!

In advance, thank you for your support, and contributions!

Lou x
