Story
35 years ago at the tender age of 3 Louise was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Louise was in Great Ormond Street Hospital for almost 6 months and received 4 grueling doses of chemotherapy. She had a 30% chance of survival.
It is unimaginable what Louise’s parents (Kim & Stuart) went through all those years ago. Nobody ever wants to hear the words “Your Daughter has cancer”.
On the 23rd of April 2023 Lou & Stu will be heading to the start line in Greenwich Park ready to take on 26.2 miles in the London Marathon. As crazy as it sounds it'll be part of a celebration of Louise being in remission for 35 years!
Without charitable donations GOSH wouldn’t have been able to give Louise the life saving treatment that she needed, so please every penny is much appreciated.
Let’s do our bit to beat childhood cancer. We are running every single mile for every single child that is in/has been in GOSH 💜
Thank you to all the Doctors & Nurses at GOSH; We are eternally grateful.
See you all at the finish line!

Every week, around five children in the UK lose their lives to cancer. That’s five families who are faced with the worst news possible.
For every child, parent and family – it's time to beat it.
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) treats the most seriously ill children from across the UK and sees the most rare and difficult-to-treat childhood cancers.
It’s time to push the boundaries. Through world-class facilities, pioneering research projects and cutting-edge treatments, we can help build a better future for children with cancer.
Now, we need your support to help take the research, technology, facilities and care GOSH delivers to the next level.
By joining our team you are part of something amazing, knowing that you are joining a community of runners and volunteers making an impact in helping GOSH give children with cancer the extraordinary care, expertise and facilities they need.
Together we can run it. Together we can help beat childhood cancer.
