Story
This will be my 3rd year taking part in the 10k Memory Walk. Most of you will already be aware that my lovely Grandad suffered with Vascular Dementia before sadly passing away in February last year. For the best part of 2 years we as a family struggled to get the right level of care from specially trained staff in Dementia. This is such a cruel disease on both the sufferer and families, I have seen the devastating effects it can have at first hand. The Alzheimer's Society helps give the sufferer and they're families some much needed support. The fact that vascular dementia is the only type of dementia where no medication is available, goes to show how much research is still needed into this horrible disease. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page xx
Thank you for supporting me to take part in Memory Walk this year and raise much needed funds for Alzheimer's Society.
All of the money I raise will help support people living with dementia and their families, so your donation will make a huge difference.
Just £50 will pay for someone with dementia to go to a Dementia Café session every week for a month, where they can meet others, share experiences and feel less isolated. And the more I raise, the bigger the difference it will make.
