After completing a degree in Applied Biochemistry, and spending a year working in a research lab, I didn't realise how much I would use my scientific knowledge once I chose a career in marketing!  However it wasn't as much at work, as using it to help support dear family around me who were diagnosed with Cancer.  Cancer affects everyone, it is cruel and has its own agenda.  It doesn't care whether you are old or young.  It took away people close to me still in their prime, but thanks to the amazing research and developments in treatment and cures, people were treated and are loving life!

Please support me.  I will find this tough - I am sporty but not a natural runner.  But it won't be anything like the battle I have watched people close to me go through.  So every time I want to stop I just have to remember exactly why I am doing it.
