Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I did ! ! I really did!

Thank you to all the lovely people who have sponsored and supported me, i would not have been able to go through with it otherwise.

Was it scary? - The anticipation was awful, i didn't sleep through the night for a week before. Then on the day we had to wait for 9 hours for the weather to clear - got there at 8am and jumped at 5pm! Once i was all kitted out i focused and went for it. I had a horrible gut wrenching moment when they opened the door of what I can only say was a mini metro with wings at 10 000ft and i was told i had to slide toward the door! The noise of the wind was really intimidating never mind the drop!

The free fall bit was surreal and i struggled to catch my breath for a moment but then another instructor jumping along side us started pulling faces at me and i even managed a smile apparently. I was mightly relieved when the shoot opened and then the noise was gone and all was calm. The view was amazing. The rest was not too bad at all although i was not too keen on spinning!

Anyway i did it - I  still can't believe it! Please have a look at my photos!

A big thank you to The Parachute Centre at Whitchurch Shropshire who were brilliant and a good humoured bunch. In particular, I would like to thank  my friend Lynsey for coming with me and enduring the monumental wait and my anxious irritation! Finally thank you to the instructor Simon, he was brilliant and kept me nice and calm and i felt as safe as i could in his care.

NYT is great, it does not just teach them to act, it gives them confidence and a sense of purpose - and keeps them out of trouble! NYT has not only been responsible for some of our best actors, they work really hard to engage young people in some of the most deprived areas of the UK. Your donation will really make a difference and give young people opportunities when and where they most need them.

PLEASE PLEASE sponsor me - I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't think this was a great cause! I am so close to my target now if you could help i would be very very very very grateful!!!! As grateful as i am scared!!!!!
