I’ve chosen to run for Special Effect because they’re the most amazing but little-known charity. Their name does not do them justice; they provide creative solutions to those with physical disabilities to make the internet accessible - something the rest of us take for granted every day. 

People they help include stroke survivors who can use eye movement technology to email and Skype loved ones (vital during covid); adapted games controllers so that teens don’t feel left out of the games all their friends are playing together; and tiny tech down to the size of a joystick that can be controlled by a lip for those with such limited mobility. Their case studies amaze me with what’s possible.
