Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be running my first ever marathon (26.2 miles) to raise money for Nordoff Robbins who help change the lives of vulnerable and isolated people through music therapy.  Music therapy can help a child with autism to communicate, reduce anxiety for those living with dementia or provide comfort to someone facing terminal illness.

The power of music is incredible and I will be using music to get me through me marathon training.  Running the London Marathon has been a dream of mine and to be given the opportunity to do so for a fantastic charity is an honour.

Nordoff Robbins does not receive any government funding and relies on public support to meet the increasing demand for their music services.  Each music session costs £50 to run.

Please donate as little or as much as you can to support Nordoff Robbins and to motivate me throughout my training and on the big day itself.  I really appreciate everyone's support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work.
