Story
My wonderful mum died in June 2021 of stage 4 Glioblastoma, an aggressive, incurable brain tumour she battled with positivity, grace and humour. In 2020 I walked 1 million steps for mum, managing to complete it in 47 days, which works out at approximately 20,000 steps a day.
This time, I am escalating the challenge in the hope that we can raise even more money for The Brain Tumour Charity. Starting on 18th February, and finishing on mum's birthday, 30th March, I will be walking 1 million steps. That works out at approximately 25,000 steps a day for 40 days straight - 15 miles a day and 500 miles in total. March is also Brain Tumour Awareness month.
Walking has been the thing that has helped me cope with my grief so it seems appropriate to push my walking to new levels. It is going to be a challenge, so please support if you can!
