Hi everyone

I'm hoping to help raise funds for the installation of a much-needed borehole, pump & basic irrigation system for the 5-acre Trunkwell Garden for the gardening charity Thrive, based in Beech Hill, Reading. The installation will substantially reduce their annual water bill, not to mention the saving in precious time for their team of dedicated therapists.

Monday, 9th August - I completed the event in 3hrs 39mins, which was a lot slower than my previous attempts, but given my current fitness level, brilliant! Weather could not have been better. The water temperature was great & with partial cloud cover, we were not scorched by the sun.

I had delayed posting a page as up until last week, I was not sure whether I would be fit enough to participate as health has been problematic this year.

Even though the event has now been & gone, would still very much appreciate any donations. My page will stay live for a couple more months.
