Thanks for visiting my page!!! Its actually quite daunting having a page and knowing what to put.......... (So far, so good eh)

Well, first of all why am i doing this? Having previously done 'race for life' i enjoyed the compassion and determination of those competing to help such a worthy causes. Indeed, seeing the crowds and hearing the encouragement, wow, that stays with you forever! So, to answer my own question, i guess you get the bug! And more to the point you feel like you have achieved something worthy and made a difference. It does n't matter if you raise hundreds of thousands of pounds or hundreds of pounds, it all helps and it all goes to provide research, support, medicine........... and so much more!

£50 could pay for a pioneering test to measure the number of leukaemic cells in a patient’s blood, helping doctors to give appropriate doses of treatment.

£200 could buy 200 kits to extract DNA from blood samples to see if there are any genetic faults and help diagnose cancers more effectively.

£600 could pay for an MRD test, which improves the outcome for children with leukaemia by checking how they respond to treatment.
