Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, it means the world. Since dad was diagnosed we've seen the impact Parkinson's has had. He was always there helping support and fund raising for others less fortunate than himself (duck races, recycling cans and papers and gardener stalls to name a few) and now I've taken up the mantel. Love you Dad, as always doing these 🤪 things to come and tell you about them afterwards.

So 2023 has had the 106km challenge on the isle of Wight walking continuous round the island with my sister on the 29th April. Then there was the Cotswolds 100km Ultra challenge on the 24th June, followed by the South Coast 100km ultra challenge on the 2nd of September. Finally, climbing Cotopaxi in Ecuador the world's highest active volcano was the plan but volcanic activity means we are submitting Cayamba instead at a similar elevation. Why's Chimborazo on the title, well we got the option to climb the mountain at 6263m which would mean we will standing the closest to the moon, space furthest from the earth's centre  - so why not eh?

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
