Story

I'm running the Windsor 2011 Half Marathon 25th September and would really appreciate it if you could sponsor me to help raise money for Surrey Sands. Although I'm not directly connected to Surrey Sands, a close friend is and I know she has found great support in being able to talk to other bereaved parents.

Sands are a national self help organisation and registered charity, established to support anyone affected by the death of a baby through stillbirth or neonatal death. The charity is divided into a network of local groups of which Surrey Sands is one. It is entirely run by volunteers and supports 7 hospitals within the area, bereaved parents are supporting through a befriending network, monthly support groups and a telephone helpline.
