Mum passed away in Wheatfields Hospice in the early hours of 2 July 2020 after a very short battle with lung and secondary liver cancer - She was diagnosed on 29 April 2020, by which stage she was told there was no treatment other than palliative care.  She was admitted to the Hospice on 30 June, and the care she received during her brief stay was exemplary.  The staff were phenomenal and did all they could to keep her comfortable.  My dad and I were able to be with her for her last few hours and saw first hand the compassion with which the staff dealt with mum.  At her funeral there will a collection plate for the Hospice, but as you will appreciate, we are limited to 20 mourners.  Many people have asked if they could donate in mum’s memory, and so came about this Page.
