Memory Walk 2021
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year thousands of people will walk united, against dementia. With your help, we aim to raise as much money as possible to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

This past year has been terrible for most but for those effected by  dementia the support and the much needed routine in life has not been there . Losing my father Charlie’s grandfather, has been hard made harder in some ways due to Covid, and not been able to see him properly.  His illness became  worse due getting shingles of the eye which then gave him encephalitis  which may have been caught earlier if it was a normal year  . He  had to go into a nursing home because the support he needed could not be done at home at times he was confused in why he wasn’t at home or that he wanted to go to the post office and trying to explain things through FaceTime does not compare to time spent face to face and keeping to routine and familiarity .

I feel raising money through memory walk will raise awareness too dementia and also raise money for much needed resource and support of the individual and family

Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money, saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Let's take on dementia together!
