Story

I'm taking part in the Dubai Marathon for the second year running on Friday 25 January, 2013. I'm hoping to beat last year's time of 4hrs25mins and raise some money for Macmillan in the process. The reason I've chosen Macmillan is because of the valuable support they provided to my Grandad and family in England over the past couple of years. Grandad was suffering from mesothelioma, a fairly rare form of cancer, but was a true fighter throughout. Very sadly, he lost his battle on December 18 2012 but before he did, I promised him I would finish the Dubai Marathon.

Grandad is my inspiration for running, having run a few marathons in his time! The first race I ever ran was the Windsor 1/2 marathon in 2004 with my Grandad - that's how awesome he was. And that's why this marathon will likely be the toughest and most emotional race I've run. Any support you can show  would be greatly appreciated by me and all my family.

Thank you in advance for whatever you can give xxx
