Hello,

Welcome to my fundraising page for my entry into the Virgin Active London Triathlon! (Yes, I may have gone slightly mad!)

I'm sure most of you know of my mums battle with a brain tumour over the last 14 months. Over this time we have met some amazing people who have been a fantastic support to my mum and family and friends.

I am raising sponsorship for a charity called Brainstrust, they are a supportive charity who work with patients and their families to provide emotional support, treatment information and make sure people have all the information they need regarding their care.

This is a cause that is very close to my heart and I hope to raise enough money to help others in this situation.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page and for any sponsors, it is very much appreciated and I will do my best in dragging my arse to the gym and do everyone proud!!

Update: Sadly my beautiful mum passed away on the 30th March. True to character she put up a very brave fight throughout. My mum remains my inspiration and role model in life and i will complete this triathlon in her honour.  

Update July:

 My training has continued and actually seems to be going well, joining a triathlon club has definately given me an extra push (helped by a pushy but fantastic coach who has coaxed me out into open water to face my fear of swimming with the fishes!) and I have been well and truly bitten by the tri bug. So much so, that following this I hope to train for an olympic distance tri in the next couple of years!
