Story
We are taking on the blind for a day challenge to raise essential funds for the royal blind playgroup but also so we can get a better understanding of what our beautiful little Minnies life will be like as she grows and becomes independent.
Minnie was born in April 2015 she was born blind she has a rare condition called microphalmus that basically means her eyes haven't developed. She is an amazing little girl she literally lights up our world. She has been attending the royal blind playgroup since she was 4 weeks, it's an amazing service the staff are lovely and supportive it's the highlight of both mine and Minnies week visiting our friends at the playgroup.
Ben is my oldest son he is 10 years old and is so eager to be part of our fundraising journey to support the amazing services that our family use. He also wants to better understand Minnies blindness so we can support her better. He is very excited about taking part in the challenge and I am very proud that he wants to join me.
We know we have asked lots from our friends and family this year with our fundraising but your support does mean a lot to our family. It doesn't matter how big or small the donation is the Young family and the royal blind playgroup want to thank you so much for the difference you are making to children with a visual impairment.
