Story
Hi Everyone,
Its that madness moment again and I am doing my next challenge.
Two years ago I finished the London Marathon and of course as I crawled over the line at 6 hours 39 minutes and 53 seconds along with the tumble weed I said never again!! but like many others before me as soon as the email came announcing the ballot for 2015 I entered as of course there is no way I would actually get in again..... Wow how lucky am I (wish it rubbed off on other things!) I got a place (oh rats!) Last year was a bit tricky so Mr C had another go at it and did fantastically well and romped home in 3 hours 50 minutes 40 seconds (trust me, the times mean a lot!)
So gauntlet thrown down!
Cue 2016 2 years on and many bootcamps and several stone less here we go again.
I have been training and even getting in most of my long runs and I have been smashing my Personal Bests for running.
No pressure then!
I want to run the whole way and to finish it in around 5 hours which whilst its going to be a challenge I think is doable. I have just completed Surrey Half Marathon in 2 hours 18 so I think if I can keep running I have a shot at it.
Just a bit about why I am running for Phyllis Tuckwell. As many of you know we lost our amazing Mum Margaret a few years ago and she is still very much missed. I remember the difficult time that she went through with her illness and I know that the services at Phyllis Tuckwell are continually being developed and improved to give patients and their families the support that they need throughout their illness.
My mum was an inspiration and was always my strongest most vocal supporter. She was also slightly crazy so no surprise as to where I get that from! She always said I could do anything I put my mind to so I like to challenge myself to try and be the best version of me I can be.
I would really appreciate any support you can give me as inspite of some grit and quite a lot of determination 26.2 miles is a long way and even with my mum willing me on I need all I can get!!
Thank you for your support
Loulou xx
