Story
On the 10th September this year (eek) I am facing one of my ultimate fears and jumping out of a plane!!!
Anyone who knows me will know this will really challenge me because to get me on a plane to go on holiday usually requires a trip to the doctor for a prescription of Diazapam.
I am taking on this challenge in memory of my Gran who never saw any fear and was always up for a challenge. I remember flying to Scotland with my Mum and Gran; the flight was very bumpy and I sat in the middle, palms sweaty, eyes closed, holding their hands, whilst Mum and Gran had a brilliant time!! She would love to hear I was being brave and doing this :)
Although Gran wasn't lucky enough to receive Hospice end of life care, as I work for the Hospice as a Fundraising Officer and have fundraised in her memory previously, it seems fitting to continue to support the wonderful service St Barnabas provides.
Please support me with this challenge because I am absolutely 'bricking it' but I have a new moto of facing your fears and love this quote 'if it excites you and scares you at the same time, it properly means you should do it' .
Most importantly by supporting me YOU will be making a real difference to patients and families across Lincolnshire living with a life-limiting or terminal illness, ensuring St Barnabas can be there for them every day of the year.
By way of example, every £14.02 raised will enable St Barnabas to provide one hour of specialist at-home care to a patient living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.
Thank you, Louise xx
