Myself and my wonderful friends, Kelly and Dee are walking 23 miles across Glasgow, in aid of the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. 

As most of you know, my beautiful boy was born with a very rare brain condition called Sturge-Weber Syndrome. This condition causes multiple problems for Adam, including multiple epileptic seizures a day, glaucoma, which has left him 98% blind, he is unable to swallow and is fed through a tummy peg. He won’t be able to walk or talk and as his brain continues to decrease in size, life will become harder for us all. This is a life limiting condition for Adam.  

Despite all of this and more, Adam is an amazing little boy, who battles on every day, teaching me new things all the time and whose smile can and does melt everyone’s hearts. 

The Glasgow Children’s Hospital have been amazing throughout our journey so far and continue to support us and our family, the hospital and staff are a huge support to us and the charity funds enhanced equipment at the hospital to ensure that all of their young patients receive the best possible care and experience.
