Story
How many of my friends can say they are lucky enough to actually like let alone love their Mother in Laws!!
WELL I WAS
On the 3rd February we as a family had to say our final goodbyes to a very special lady ANN CLAYTON, everyone that new her whether it be as a friend or relative loved her ❤️ She was such a kind caring lady who lived for her children, grand children, and great grandchildren.
During the last few years Ann suffered with numerous problems but kept fighting and never complained to us.
After spending a lot of time in hospital which she hated we promised her she could stay at home in her final days.
However due to circumstances with her dramatic decline in health on the 2nd February she agreed to go and spend her final hours at the Butterfly 🦋 Hospice in Boston.
Best decision made from the moment Ann arrived they were absolutely fantastic and although Ann was only their for a short time nothing was too much trouble for her or us as a family, their care and compassion will be something I never forget.
Many of you who know me know I go running but normally my limit is 6 miles. In memory of Ann, I have signed up to do the Boston Half Marathon 13.2 miles. I admit i am thinking to myself what the hell have I done I’m no spring chicken lol. But you know what after seeing everything Ann went through I will do my best to complete this challenge thinking of Ann at every mile to the end.
If any of you lovely people out there would be kind enough to donate to this fantastic charity I will be forever grateful.
Many thanks
Louise
