Story

We all thought meningitis was something we knew about and that the vaccinations students get at university meant he wouldn’t get it. But the vaccinations don’t cover all strains."
Graham, my cousin, was a much loved son, brother and friend when he contracted MenB meningitis in November 2019. Before heading to Bath Spa University Graham had had his MenACWY vaccine, which is available for free for first year university students. Tragically, MenB meningitis is not covered by this vaccine.
In memory of Graham, and all those other lives needlessly lost to meningitis, we will never stop fighting until we have defeated this disease for good 💜

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
