Story
Thanks for taking the time to read this. A relative of mine has Parkinsons. I heard about Sober October and decided that this was something I could do in order to show support for them and to do something that could help make a real difference to them and other people with Parkinsons. Because of this I've decided to give anything I can raise to the Cure Parkinsons Trust as they are working towards slowing, reversing or curing Parkinsons. Their research is very positive and with further work I believe they really could achieve their aims.
I'm aware that the Sober October idea is officially for Macmillan (who do amazing work too) so I hope people will forgive me for using the idea to raise funds for a different cause. I'm just going with my heart here, I hope you understand. I also know that giving up alcohol for a month is not the most incredible achievement;, plenty of people never drink, however I do enjoy a glass of something some evenings and certainly at the weekend, There's been moments when I've craved a glass of wine, but it's worth it, especially when I think about the person I'm doing it for. Any donations will mean a lot to both of us. Thank you x
