As many of our family and friends know, me and my husband David have been caring for a family member since January who has been diagnosed with lung cancer and a tumour on his spine.  At this present time we continue to support and care for him in every way possible. This has been a difficult time for us both, however the support we have received from the palliative care team at west suffolk hospital is overwhelming. There are also many more professions that have been a big help but to many to list them all.

As a thank you for our ongoing support, i am going to challenge myself and do a wing walk for their My Wish charity. We will be travelling to Damyns Hall essex to do this on 30 July 17 and my wing walk will take place at 11am weather permitting. If weather isn't good enough to go up, it will be rearranged for another date.

The funds from this will go towards comfort packs for families that do not wish to leave their dying loved one. These packs contain toothbrushes, drinks, chocolate ect. Funds will also go to helping with the family room refurbishment, fold up beds, and the butterfly garden where families can sit to remember their loved ones.

I am writing this next part with a heavy heart. Vic Couzens passed away peacefully at 5pm today in his own home as he wished. He peacefully went to sleep.
