Our rescue mission to save our band hall from subsidence is nearly complete. External repairs are underway but we need a final push for our target amount for the internal refit to enable the 100 or so players to continue joying making music together.

Story

The future of Verwood Concert Brass is in jeopardy unless enough funds (£250,000 in total) can be raised to rescue its band hall from subsidence. Verwood Concert Brass and its band hall provides an opportunity for approximately 100 musicians of all abilities (brand new starters through to expert players) and of all ages (from 8 to 80) to enjoy making music together. Furthermore the various brass bands are so much part of the community by supporting events such as the Verwood Carnival, Rustic Fayre, Remembrance Sunday commemorations and of course it wouldn't be Christmas without carols being played to bring some festive cheer. In addition, throughout the year there are quarterly formal concerts at the Verwood Hub and free open air concerts during the summer which brings pleasure to so many in the community. Verwood Concert Brass has been around since 1864 but needs all the help it can get to keep going by raising enough money to rescue its band hall. Thank you for your help.
