Story
For those of you who don’t know me , I unfortunately lost both of my parents to cancer. My dad in March 2006 and more recently my mum in November 2021.
In 2020 I started including walking into my fitness routine , anything from 5 miles to 24 miles . . My beloved dog Stanley has done many miles with me ♥️🐾🐶
Since losing my mum , walking has kept me occupied and filled a gap in my life that mum filled. On one of my many walks on route to Whittlingham in November 2022 I came up with an idea to use walking as an advantage, to raise money for the oncology fund @ The Norfolk&Norwich hospital. This supports patients at the Weybourne day unit , where patients receive chemotherapy and the Mulbarton ward- the focus is on the treatment and care of those suffering from and living with cancer, both close to my heart as both my mum and dad used these facilities. ♥️
I picked March the month to walk, as my dads anniversary and my mums birthday both fall in this month . I chose 500miles … as anyone who knows me , this is my end of the night party song !!! I’m now wishing The Proclaimers walked 300 miles !! 🤣
Looking forward to dragging as many as my friends and family around with me over the 4 weeks 😝
All your support means the world to me x
