Story
In June 2019 I successfully completed, to my surprise, a half marathon with my unique “enthusiastic plodder” technique. In fact it inspired me to make the decision to complete a full marathon. What better way to motivate myself than by running for the Stroke Association who have recently supported family members after strokes. My mum in particular has made significant progress in her recovery with the fantastic support of the medical teams. Although there is still a distance to go, her determination and focus along with support from family and friends have helped significantly. This is just my way of saying thank you and keep going or “plodding on”. Although I completed the 2020 marathon virtually around my local roads I can’t wait for October 2021 and running around the streets of London.
Any donations however much will be greatly appreciated or just a thumbs up of encouragement to keep me going through the winter months and on the day.
