Even though in the UK we enjoy freedom to practice any faith, this is not the case in the rest of the world. Every day thousands of people are persecuted simply because of the faith they hold, with Christians being the highest number.

I'm sure everyone is aware of the recent news stories around the world of churches and other places of worship being attacked. 

Aid to the Church in Need is a Pontifical Foundation of the Catholic Church, supporting the Catholic faithful and other Christians where they are persecuted, oppressed or in pastoral need.
