Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Louis, I'm a proud father of two and as most parents out their can relate becoming a parent has changed my life.
When you become a parent you face many decisions in life and you stop simply thinking of yourself, you start putting someone else before you, someone who needs you to survive. I believe children are the key to the future as when their time comes they will be the ones who will shape the world so as parents we need to set the example.
However unfortunately not all children are that lucky, especially children who are afflicted with an illness or disability which at times can be live threatening and might not make it to grow into young men and women.
Why am I telling you all this, to upset you or to make you feel sorry for these children, NO of course not, after all feelin sorry for someone is not gonna help anyone, it's only making things worse.
So why am I telling you this, simple I want to challenge you, yes challenge you.
On April 2015 I walked across a bed of coal between 1,200 and 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit to challenge myself outside my comfort zone and push through the fear of getting injured or severely burned. I did it anyway and guess what I'm still kicking, so now what, am I challenging you to walk on fire or jump off a plane. NO...
What I'm gonna ask you to do is probably far worst to some of you whilst to others it will be a peice of cake...
Challenge you to do something that's uncomfortable and donate any amount you choose from your hard earned work to Children with Cancer UK, and to show that I'm willing to do something that makes me uncomfortable, I'm going to jump off a moving plane at 15,000 ft.
In case you didn't know this, I am not particularly fond of heights ... I tend to get Vertigo, so believe me this is a big deal for me.
So what are you willing to do to help those in need? A small donation from you might not seem much, but if 50, 100, 1000 people just donate £1, I'm sure you can see the difference a small contribution can make.
So if you're feeling generous I challenge to put more than £1 each, donate as much as you can. These kids need our support and I as a parent cannot possibly imagine would it be like, how hard it must be for a child to go through having cancer without the proper support and treatment.
Thank You,
Louis
P.S: The jump and associated fee's were paid out of my own pocket in full and all donations will go to Directly to the charity and not to fund the jump.
