Story

Last request I promise. 277 training miles (445km) now completed and ready to go (sort of) on Saturday. Any contributions no matter how large or small gratefully received! Cheers!

On the 15th February this year, my mother-in-law, Susan, was diagnosed with brain cancer. Subsequent scans showed that the primary source of the cancer was the lungs and that it was spreading rapidly. It was in such an advanced state that she sadly passed away on April the 10th and is sorely missed by everyone who knew her.

Saint Francis Hospice provided care in Susan's final days - not only directly to Susan, but also to my wife Rebekah an my father-in-law David. Explaining what was happening in the most caring and understanding of ways.

I have decided, along with my brother-in-law James and Rebekah's cousin, Stephen to attempt the Thames Path Challenge which is a 100km walk along the Thames from Putney to Maidenhead with the aim to complete it in 24 hours.

I know it's the silly season for physical challenges and raising money for charity, so anything you can spare will be greatly received and spur the three of us to complete the walk in good time.

Thank you,

Lou
