Story

Seeing as I didn't actually run the Marathon in 1 hour flat last year, I'm now going to attempt to run the London Marathon in 1 hour flat. Although this year, I'm hoping that I don't trip over my own two feet again and injure myself before I've even reached the start line.

Being given this second chance means that I know how much training is needed so I've started running earlier this time around and so far, so good. BUT, I still need your support and encouragement to keep me motivated...it's still damn cold out there!

I'm raising money for a fantastic charity, The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice. They provide care, support and advice for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. The care services include Short Breaks (respite care), Day Care, Outreach Care, Family Support and Therapies and specialist End of Life Care. The services make a real difference to families who find themselves in unimaginable circumstances - sharing the good days, being there every step of the way through the more difficult times. The Hospice strive to ensure that quality of life is enhanced for the whole family throughout the course of a child's illness.
