Story
Five days before Christmas 2012 I was told at the age of 27 that I had malignant melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer. No one expects to hear those words and nothing can prepare you for it but thanks to Cancer Research UK I am still here and now doing my bit to give others the chance to beat cancer.
In August 2015 I turned 30, a milestone that I didn't know I would get to see and in February 2016 I celebrate 3 years all clear so I wanted to do something special and to raise more money than I have done before so I came up with the crazy idea of running 300 miles between August 2015 and August 2016. This will be far from easy especially as I am not a runner and it definitely doesn't come easily to me so please remember this when you are digging deep - you aren't giving me money to do something that I enjoy, you are giving money to help save people's lives!
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and if you can, thank you for sponsoring me as well, it REALLY does make a difference and we CAN beat cancer!
