Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This time last year my son, Oliver, had heart surgery at Glenfield hospital in Leicester. As many parents know, having a child undergoing major surgery is a busy and stressful time. The last thing you want to be worrying about is travelling and finding somewhere to stay.
I am raising money for Heart link because they take all this worry away and they fundraise to keep accommodation blocks going for the parents of ward 30, the ward that Oliver was on.
They even have a communal play area and kitchen where you can cook your food and get a hot drink.
This is a second time they have supported us through Oliver being in ward 30, the first time Oliver was only 6 months old.
So we measured my hair, from being tied up in a ponytail, it is 22 inches long. I will cut my hair when we reach my £1000 target and I will donate my hair to wigs for kids where it will get made into a wig for a child with cancer.
