Story
On Sat 28th September, I'm throwing myself out of a plane whilst 2.5 miles high in the sky and free falling at 120mph over Dunkeswell to raise funds for the Somerset Wildlife Trust.
Over half of UK species have declined since 1970, while more than one in ten are under threat and at risk of disappearing altogether. This is why I am raising funds to help change this! So by sponsoring me, you'll help the Trust build on their huge conservation success stories in Somerset.
Their Green Down Reserve is now home to 36% of the UK population of Large Blue Butterflies, a species once extinct in Britain. Their wetland reserves are a stronghold for Bitterns in Somerset, and they've recently discovered that a pair of Night Herons roosting on their Westhay Moor National Nature Reserve have fledged two chicks - the first ever recorded in the UK.
And, of course, not forgetting all our favourite wild furries who have beautiful safe homes upon their Somerset reserves especially Horseshoe Bats, Otters, Roe Deer, Water Vole, Wood Mouse, Brown Hare, Weasel, Hazel Dormouse and the poor old persecuted Badger.
So please dig deep folks and click me a few quid to support my efforts!
Many thanks in advance .....
... just in case I never see you again!!! ;)
Cheers! Lorraine x
