Story
My Mum Anne Macdonald, who a lot of you will know is the fund raiser behind my marathon run. She is recovering from having cancer, and one of the lucky ones. Being a keen charity and community fund raiser she wasn't going to let this opportunity go by without raising a few quid. While being treated with radium therapy and chemotherapy at the Oncology department at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness she noted; How much the department was lacking funding for basic equipment and material. Some of the nurses even wash cars in their time off to help meet the bills which show their commendable commitment to what they do for our families. Due to NHS funding cuts this department relies heavily on funds raised through the Macmillan Macmillan Cancer Charity, and any donation you make to my run will go directly to the Oncology department at Raigmore which services most of the Highland Region. Every £1 counts and will give those nurse's washing cars a bit of a break, thank you X
