Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the 10k Edinburgh Marathon in memory of my Uncle Craig. My heart broke the day he passed away he meant the world to my family and I - he was such a big influential part of my life. We spent so much time with him growing up. He helped when my own dad was ill and after my dad died (at a relatively young age) he always looked out for us as he promised he would. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer in August 2016 and passed away on Boxing Day. He was cared for by Marie Curie and I know my Auntie and his family can not speak highly enough of the care and attention he received during his last few months on this earth.
Marie Curie provide care and support for people living with a terminal illness, and their families, across the UK. They believe everyone living with a terminal illness should be able to get the most from the time they have left, however hard that may sometimes feel. It costs £180 for one of their nurses to look after someone with a terminal illness through the night they therefore depend on fundraising to enable them to continue to provide this fantastic service to so many.
