In April this year I will be running the London Marathon (26.2 miles) for Brain Research UK. This charity has become very close to my heart over the last few years as I have witnessed the debilitating effects, trauma and sadness that brain tumours and different neurological conditions can have on the individuals affected as well as their family and friends.

Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children in the UK. Despite this only 2% of the UKs overall spend on research cancer is designated specifically to brain tumours. 

Brain Research UK is the leading dedicated charity funding the best science to help improve the lives of those affected by discovering causes and developing new treatments for brain tumours, Alzheimer’s, motor neurone disease and so many more.

Every donation will be truly appreciated by this incredible charity and the people it supports. From a personal point of view, the money I raise will inspire me to train and push my body throughout the winter months ready for the big day in April.
