Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 2 August 2015 my husband & I will be participating in the Prudential Ride 100 in memory of my Dad who we lost on 6 August 2000 to Pancreatic cancer. The ride is 100 miles between London and Surrey on a closed road route, ending on the Mall. We are both avid road cyclists and are looking forward to being part of this event. On 6 August 2015, 4 days after the ride, it will be the 15 year anniversary of loosing my Dad so we will be riding for Pancreatic Cancer UK and hope to raise as much as possible to help raise awareness for this dreadful disease.Thank youLorraine & Pete
Update: 5 August. I did it! Sadly Pete was unable to ride due to a back problem. The ride was amazing & I loved every second. The event was cut short due to an accident at the bottom of Leith Hill. However, I was able to conquer Box Hill ! I rode 92 miles in 5 hrs 44 mins so am thrilled to have had such a good ride. We had more good news as you may have seen on Monday that an early detection test for Pancreatic Cancer has now been developed which is poignant for us this week. Thank you all for your support and helping me raise money for this charity which is often overlooked.
