I had heard about the hospice as it is local to me and helps many people during their time of need, but i had the chance to meet them through work. The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Over the pandemic the care did not stop, it simply adapted. The Inpatient Unit has remained open and the Community Nursing team have supported more people than ever who are vulnerable and shielding at home. They have continued to innovate and provide as much complementary therapy and rehabilitation support as possible virtually. The weekly bereavement support-line has not stopped but continues to provide a real lifeline to those not only isolated through grief but due to the added restrictions of COVID. They continue to be that much needed hand in the darkness.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
