Story
We (Nick and Henry) are setting out on our first major bikepacking tour this Autumn in aid of Cure Parkinson's.
We are cycling from London to Rome in 15 days, taking in Kent, Burgundy, the Swiss Alps (1 day's respite!) and the beautiful rustic hills of Italy, before snaking our way along the Tiber river to reach the capital of the ancient world.
We cycled 20 laps of Box hill last year for Cure Parkinson's and decided this year to swap the somewhat tedious repeated loops for something a bit more challenging and hopefully a bit more interesting!
Parkinson's is a debilitating and complex disease without a cure, affecting sufferers in many different ways. It affects 1 in 37 people and this proportion will likely increase in the coming years. That is why the research that Cure Parkinson's undertakes to find new and effective treatments for the disease is so important.
