Story
In lockdown #1 I ran 100 miles in a week in the virtual centurion running one community event. That was an effort, despite the fact I used to run that for consecutive weeks. At the moment 10 miles is my mental limit.
Lockdown #2 - the one community virtual run is back. This time I’m entering the 100 mile event again.
In one go.
I’ve never ran more than 76 miles in a oner before and I haven’t trained for this. But we all love a challenge, right?
So I aim to run/walk/crawl 100 miles in a oner around my home town. Alongside this I aim to raise money for St Oswald’s hospice, an organisation which, like many, has struggled with fundraising this year.
It’s a fantastic, charitable hospice in the North East, which strives to provide quality time for all patients. It relies on supporters to allow the wonderful staff to improve quality of life for those with incurable conditions, and to keep them comfortable in their last phase of life.

It’s worth that few quid you can’t spend on that Friday night pint during lockdown at least!
