The Shone Building Big Walk 2023 · 22 April 2023 ·

MND research is at a point where life-saving treatments are potentially on the horizon. And Sheffield is more than ready to be a frontrunner to find the answers. By supporting this research, you'll improve the lives of patients long into the future.

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

On Saturday 22nd April, I will be taking part in the Shone Building Big Walk to support Motor Neurone Disease research at SITraN based at Sheffield University.

Last year my amazing boss & friend Tim was diagnosed with MND. To say I was absolutely devastated would be an understatement. Through this incredibly difficult time, Tim introduced me to the fantastic & groundbreaking work being carried out by SITraN into MND research.

We are uniting together as the whole company - management, office, sites & our families - for the Shone Building Big Walk, a 12km sponsored fun walk taking place at Carsington. We stand together in solidarity with Tim & his wonderful family in fundraising to support this worthy cause which is incredibly close to all our hearts at Shone Building.

MND is a terminal condition. It affects the brain and nerves and is nearly always fatal. In the UK alone, 1 in every 300 people will develop MND in their lifetime. But there's hope. SITraN at The University of Sheffield has world leading MND researchers working tirelessly to find a cure for this debilitating disease.

By making a gift today you will help make a much needed breakthrough in MND come even sooner and you'll improve the lives of MND patients long into the future. I would be extremely grateful for any donations which will help support finding a cure for this devastating disease.

Thank you ❤️ x
