Story
I decided in lockdown to sign up for this event, having never done a triathlon before I thought this would be a good challenge.
Just over a year ago I started officially sea swimming, I mean more than just the normal dip in with the kids. I've been every week since June 2020 come rain or shine... In just my swimmy!! It has been absolutely imperative to my mental health and I now cannot imagine a week without a dip in the big blue!
This is the challenge I have signed up for....
SPRINT
DISTANCE
750m swim 🏊♀️
Bike 24Km 🚲
Run 5K 🏃♀️
I can confidently say I can do all these things separately.... I've just never tried doing them one after the other.
I have been been training over the last few months... although with family life, juggling work, shifts and children it's pretty chaotic 🤣❤️🙏
Wish me luck and thank you for taking the time to read this and support me, whether it be sharing my post, encouraging comments or a donation, it all means a lot to me 💕
Too many people are still drowning. More than ever we need the RNLI’s help. As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe. RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline.
They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands.
The RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place.
Thank you.
